The Stikine Ice Cap is an extremely large icefield in the Alaska Panhandle area by the Coast Mountains. This icecap is the primary source for both the Taku River and the Stikine River. This icecap is known for its extreme peaks and granite spikes. Here, percipitation is unpredictible and extreme, because of the coastal proximity and dense fog.
