Denali is one of Alaska's main attractions being the highest mountain in the United States standing at 20, 320 feet. It is also referred to as Mt. Mckinley. The original name is Denali meaning "High One" named by the Koyukon Athabaskans. It then was renamed to Mt. Mckinley in support of William Mckinley who was a presidential candidate in Ohio. This mountain was discovered on May 6th, 1794 by George Vancouver.

First to successfully climb Denali was Hudson Stuck in 1913. Although he was the first to achieve, he was not the first to attempt. First attempted by James Wickersham in 1903.
